Costa Dorada Accommodation

Our family run Bed & Breakfast property is open from May to October.

We welcome you to our large bungalow, located in a wonderful position for exploring the Costa Dorada. You may be travelling throughout Spain at your leisure and just want to stay one or two nights before continuing your journey.  You may be seeking property in our area and wish to explore the various locations, at your own pace.

Our property is near the beach and beautiful mountains, in an ideal location to explore the Costa Dorada, whether you want to enjoy the water parks and adventure parks, or the medieval castles, churches and monasteries.  

A double room with compact private shower room is accessed from the communal sun terrace.

We also offer a double room and twin room with a full bathroom (shared between 3 rooms) located on the other side of the house.  These two bedrooms are accessed through our office/telephone/computer room.   In this room, during the day and early evening only guests can reserve time on the Internet for 1 Euro per hour in order for them to find information, but otherwise all our guests have full use of the sunny communal terrace with comfortable settees, bookcase (books can be borrowed during your stay), magazine rack and dining table.

Rooms must be vacated by 11.00 a.m. to allow for the arrival of new guests.

Check in time must be arranged between us and guests beforehand as we appreciate flight times, journey times can vary and we will do our best to accommodate early or late arrivals.  It is therefore essential that an approximate arrival time is provided to us by guests before arrival, we can then arrange a convenient check in time.  Upon reservation, we provide you with our telephone numbers in case of delays, problems, etc.

We provide you with bed linen, bath towels and a hairdryer.  All bedrooms are provided with oscillating fans upon request during the summer, although we recommend you buy "cooling sprays" for the particularly warm summer nights.  Housekeeping is carried out twice per week.  A small amount of fridge space is provided for you to store cold drinks, fruit, etc. which you can enjoy in the garden, where there are a variety of chairs and tables.  A communal swimming pool is available from mid June to mid September (dates vary).  As we are a "Bed and Breakfast" no evening meals are available, but for tasty lunches and evening meals, why not try out some of the many local restaurants with their wonderful variation of Catalan, Spanish, Italian or French dishes. 

Whilst we recommend you have a car for your stay with us, if you decide not to hire a car during your stay, we can help you if you decide to visit some of the nearby attractions with bus/train timetables or taxi numbers.  Within walking distance during the high season, there is a very long beach, plus nine restaurants/bars, one small supermarket and one larger supermarket.  A little bus runs a daily service from nearby Montroig into the town of Miami Playa where there is a greater choice of shops, bars, restaurants, plus access to  all the other lovely coves that run parallel to the town, ending with the Blue Flag beach of Playa Cristal.

Location:

Our property is just off the N340 Carreterra (one of the main roads that run all along the Spanish Costas), we are located on the outskirts of Miami Playa (a few minutes drive to the centre of the town), 15 minutes drive away from beautiful Cambrils and 25 minutes drive away from Salou. There is plenty of parking space available.  Local taxis are available and a regular bus and train service is available in Cambrils to Tarragona, Barcelona, La Pineda and other surrounding areas.  Throughout the end of 2008/2009 improvements are being made to Miami Playa with the completion of the new bypass, enabling the town to become pedestrianised with cycle paths, flower decked boulevards and access to the beaches made easier.

Please note that Miami Playa (5 minutes drive) is a typical Spanish town and you will not find any "British" bars here. Water sports are available at our nearest beach and also at Playa Cristal, a Blue Flag beach, with a lovely promenade with a good selection of restaurants. A short walk along the nearest beach will bring you to a cashpoint machine, large supermarket, snack bars, restaurants and souvenir shop, all available Easter to October.  The ice cream bar is located directly on the beach with fabulous views of the resort and surrounding mountains.

A visit to Cambrils is recommended with its wonderful fish restaurants and harbour. Boat trips are available or you may just want to watch the local fishermen come in every evening with their daily catch.

For those wanting a more lively nightlife, Salou is the place to visit, with its British bars and nightclubs open into the early hours.  Salou also has a lovely promenade and the fountains are well worth a visit. 

Taxis are easily available from both Cambrils and Salou.

Portaventura Theme Park/Costa Caribe Water Park and Aquopolis in nearby La Pineda are all within 25 minutes drive from the accommodation and offer entertainment for all ages. The road train runs a service from the Theme Park into Salou, La Pineda and Cambrils.
