Corrupt Crew: Exempt from all Stereotypes

airsoft

about us

We are an airsoft team based out of Phoenix, Arizona, USA.  We engage in desert, woodland, and urban combat using a variety of airsoft weapons, and engaging in different scenarios.  Corrupt Crew started in May 2003 and was called Arizona Amateur Airsoft Association (4A). We were armed with low budget spring pistols that shoot 6mm yellow ammo and wore street clothes and had shooting glasses.  We played in our friends' backyard, but it proved to be too small.  We started playing in the neighborhood, and had frequent run-ins with neighbors.  During this period, one of the players purchased a mini-AUG.  It was clear plastic,  fully automatic and battery powered by double-As, and cost $35. This is what sparked an arms race.  Back then, when we were new to airsoft, and airsoft itself was fairly new to the United States, we crapped ourselves at the power of this 195fps monster!  Another player bought a $30 pump action shotgun, and it worked it's way up from there.
Eventually, we had to head out to the desert, because the cops were called out, and we were running out of room.  After playing at a desert area for a half dozen scrims, we were kicked out again by the cops.  They were called because a player was armed with a AR-15 spring cocking rifle with 300fps velocity, which was the most powerful gun of our time in late 2003, was garrisoned on a hilltop near houses.
We played in a new desert area, away from houses, and it was a big improvement.  There were trenches, and even a sniping post built into a mesquite tree.  The first AEG was introduced at this time in 2004, and other players followed to keep up with the curve.  There was a hiatus for most of 2005, and we came back with a bang, with the first green gas gun to be introduced.
Now almost the whole team is equipped with either Marui, Classic Army or ECHO AEGs, or Marui high-powered spring guns, and tac vests with camo.  We film our scrims now and place the best footage on YouTube.  We host scenarios such as Capture the Flag, hold the bridge: as pictured on the right, and Rescue the Hostage.
Who knows how much the Corrupt Crew will evolve in the coming years.

what makes us unique

What makes us unique is that we do not do Mil Sim, but instead we do a "real-life" version of video games such as Counterstrike and Goldeneye 64.  We usually have counter-terrorism, or criminal type scenarios.

weapons used

Most of us have AEGs, teamed up with a green gas powered sidearm.  For some games we go back to our roots and use single shot, manual cocking, clear fifteen dollar pistols that use 6mm ammo.

gear

Although we don't have a "uniform", the most popular patterns are 3 color desert, urban, woodland, and all black.  Some of us wear tactical vests, and backpacks.  Goggles are always worn.

where we play

Where we play is confidential except for those who are going.  In order to protect these areas from being exploited, and having these areas under surveillance, we only tell members and guests of Corrupt Crew.  All I can say is that we play in various locations in the state of Arizona.

how to join

In order to join Corrupt Crew, you need to have a connection since we are private.  Most players began because they were co-workers, classmates, friends, or family of those who started the crew.
