It was a long hard road of trial and error, as I sought to teach myself as much as I could in this technically advanced field. In 2007 I entered the Caribbean's only region-wide animation festival in Trinidad, and won Anime Caribe's coveted Most Outstanding Animation award for the 3D animated video "Deeper". Added to the 2006 People's choice award for my entry "Voyajah", I defied all odds, by continuing to prove myself in a mostly male-dominated industry. My goal is to ultimately aid and encourage the growth of the animation industry, to empower the young, radically creative minds in Jamaica to forge ahead into unchartered territory. Despite being totally self taught in the area of Animation, I honed my skills as a Director, editor and camera operator while working at Advidco under the guidance of Trevor Baillie.
