HIV/AIDS awareness and steps in local progress
Although World AIDS Day is recognized in the month of December every year we can not help but be reminded of the epidemic on a daily basis. Though it is often thought of as only affecting a certain segment of "society" or only in some remote corners of the globe of course it is closer than you think; in fact right here in your own city! In answer and response to the local crisis and in conjunction with State, County and city-wide HIV organizations I wanted to make everyone aware of one single source that can quickly update you as to what is happening. Through the wonders of the internet we now have a new CITY HIV WEBSITE! On it you will find local support and volunteer opportunites, social activities, a library of information resources and items to bring hope, love, acceptance and encouragement to those infected with and affected by HIV disease. Please take a moment to visit the website today at: http://www.freewebs.com/corpuschristihivpoz/
If you would like to get involved on a more personal level we would encourage you to drop by our weekly support group meetings held every Thursday at St. Paul United Church of Christ (5500 block of Lipes Blvd., Corpus Christi, TX).
Thanks for your love, support and concern. Now we would love to see your great spirit of ACTION!
Michael, website owner/manager
