
The 2004 Marching band Competition field show featured the music of Chuck Mangione.
Marching Band and Color Guard is a performing fine arts elective class that covers the subjects of music, marching, and visual performance. This class is performance based and requires extensive time commitments, practice, and team work. This class also provides physical education credits. The Marching Band and Color Guard perform extensively at sporting events, cultural events, competitions, and theme parks. It meets as a class every day during the fall semester. The 2004 marching band competed in 4 field show competitions in and around Southern California. The band and color guard received many awards and recognitions throughout the marching season.
The 2004 marching band show consisted of the openor "Feels so good" leading into "The Children of Sanchez. The second tune consisted of Echano with its percussion feature that exposed the percussion section in the show. The show ended with one of Chuck Mangione's best loved tunes, "The Land of Make Believe" featuring our outstanding trumpet soloist, Tim Parks, and our alto sax soloist, Nicholas Gonzales.The Corona High School Band is dedicated to the development of all the performing arts including the Color Guard and Drumline Units. Our goal is to achieve excellence in musical quality and marching technique while providing an exciting experience to be a part of.
