Free after school activities for all children
Cornwall County Council Early Years Service (01872 270377) have said that any home educated child may attend after school clubs free of charge. These are currently available at most schools to year 5 and 6 children as well as year 7. Finding out exactly what is available at your local school is up to you!

Music Workshops
To join in with multi-school workshops, ask at your local school for any coming up.
Some need rehearsals, some stand alone, some may involve comositions and any ideas from the children, making their own material. Any problems, Contact Derek Kit, County Music Advisor, on 01872 327516.

Subsidised Music Lessons
For subsidised music lessons, £4.10 per half an hour, with other children, up to four in a class, in twilight hours at Music Centres, in many towns throughout Cornwall, and for subsidised musical instruments, (or hire them from a music shop) contact John Harries, County Music Department, on 01872 322000. Payments for lessons due at the beginning of each term, and we are negociating concessionary rates for those home educated children whose families receive benifits, (proof required), where there is a subsidy of £2.85 so that brings the price down to £1.25 per lesson.

Summer Holiday and Play and Activity Schemes
Most areas have holidays play and activity schemes for local children, check your local libraries and sports centres for details.
