What are corn snakes?
Corn snake are normally orange/red snakes( they can be albino and many other variations of colour). they are constrictors which means they squeeze their prey to death and are not venomoes.
Corn snakes (Pantherophis Guttatus ) are one of the most available snakes in the pet trade today. Vast numbers of corn snakes are captive bred annually, and are justifiably one of the most popular snakes of all time. Corn snakes are relatively small, rarely exceeding five feet in length, active feeders, tolerate a wide variety of environmental conditions, come in a dazzling arry of color morphs, and are very easy to breed. All of these factors combined make the corn snake an excellent choice for both the beginning and advanced reptile hobbyist.
Shedding
As a Reptile grows, it's old skin becomes tighht and worn, with a new skin available directly under the top layer (old skin). As the snake gets ready to shed the top coat of skin known as a shed, the snakes eyes will turn a milky blue or pink colour, this takes about 3-6 days (depending on the snake) from start to finish before the eyes clear back to normal. Once the eyes have cleared the snake will be ready to shed it's skin which, depending on humidity can take between 3-7 days. My snake usually takes 4 days after the "Blue" period before she sheds in 1 piece, , . If your snake is struggleing or sheds in more then 1 piece then it could help to either make sure it has water or try using a mister and use it on the snake during shedding.
