Cornish Scale Modellers

Welcome to the webpage of the Cornish Scale Modellers incorporating IPMS West Cornwall.

All types of scale modeller are welcome at The Cornish Scale Modellers' Society, whatever their chosen medium. Although the majority of existing members work with plastic scale models of the "Airfix" type, some full members and regular visitors enjoy working with R/C models of various types and value the contact with other modellers, for we all enjoy discussing the more abstract aspects of "scale" modelling alone. The club is open to all aspects of the hobby and at the moment has around 50 members making the branch one of the most vibrant in the country.

Our monthly meetings are held at the Passmore Edwards Institute in Hayle from 7.00pm onwards. We always try to have some specific subject to cover, but the most active aspect for both members and visitors is the chance to get together and talk models. We try to have a coffee and an open discussion at about 8.30 to discuss any topics of general interest and future plans. The meetings wind up at around 10.00pm.

Anyone who wants to visit a Society "Club Night" is quite free to do so by just turning up at our regular Hayle venue on any second Friday night in each month, see our blog for an update of what is happening in the coming months. However, if you want to have a chat about the club beforehand then please contact us using the email below. Any specific information will then be sent to the relevent committee member.
