I first met Simon when I took Gella to him for stud. He had not been used before and was a bit clueless. After a few hours of trying to get him interested in doing his job, it was suggested that I took him home with me and kept him until the deed had been done. So, Simon walked into my home and into my heart. When he went back to his owners I missed him like mad, so when they phoned me to ask if I would like to have him, I couldn't believe it.
Simon was such a big laid-back gentleman. When he was shown, he stood like a rock, as you can see from his picture. It seemed to be no effort for him. He was a gentle giant.
