Adam was my first Standard Poodle. I had contacted John Cottrell (Warwells) to see if anyone had an apricot bitch looking for a home. He put me in touch with Adams owners who wanted to retire him from stud and find him a pet home. I said I would give him a go and that's how I ended up with a black dog.
Adam became a huge part of my life and was my constant companion. I had great fun with him at exemption shows and I trained him in obedience.
He died, suddenly, of bloat at 11 years old.
It was another 2 years before I got another Standard. She was Adams great-great-grand-daughter.
