Sergei Gurlukovich:
The leader of the Russian Army on the tanker chapter, he is also Ocelot's
former commanding officer. He is actually at the tanker for himself.
He also has a daughter, called Olga Gurlukovich.
Olga Gurlukovich:
The only female soldier in the Russian Army, she has a
child that will be born soon.
On the Plant Chapter, she is Commanding Officer of
the Russian Army.
She has been raised in the Gurlukovich Army as a
soldier since she was a child,
and she is a very good shooter.
The sentries of the Gurlukovich Army:
The sentries are very well trained in making sure, well
that you never make it.
They have a set patrol, or even a task such as having
a look at a certain area
. Ex. On the Plant Chapter on Normal difficulty, on the
LG connecting bridge t
he sentries are ordered to check it out. Some sentries
also fall asleep on duty
then wake up every so often. Or on both chapters at
one part,
there is a sentry listening to music. Some even stay
in the same spot. Unlike
MGS1, sentries have radios for calling for backup.
Sentries can also follow
bloodtrails, footprints, notice broken things, notice
your shadow, hear guns
shots and if you use a cardboard box and a sentry
sees you move a bit,
he will lift the box up. Remember this when playing,
don't underestimate enemy sentries.
Backup Units:
These soldiers have body armor and better weapons.
They do clearings,
which is when they search for you. They have the same
abilities as sentries,
exept for that they can make a caution mode into
alert mode immediantly,
their radios cannot be destroyed and they roll
and peek out to defend
against your shots and kill you.One last thing,
if you have Normal difficulty or more,
backup units will keep coming so eventually,
shooting is pointless.
