Coolspring Township Volunteer Fire Department Firefly Auxiliary
The first meeting of the Firefly Auxiliary was held on September 6, 1955. The main purpose of the Firefly Auxiliary is to assist the Coolspring Township Volunteer Fire Department, Inc. financially or in any other way possible.Our meetings are at 7:00 p.m., the first Thursday of each month at the fire station, 7111 W. 400 N., Michigan City, IN. Following our business meeting, a snack is served by the monthly committee members and games are enjoyed for a short time.
Anyone interested in joining can attend a meeting anytime. Dues are $10.00 per year payable anytime from September thru November.
TAKE A LOOK AT THE RECORD!
Things the Firefly’s have done in the past:Printed a cookbook, held rummage sales, the Mall Bazaar, dinners, bake sales, plant sales, theatre parties, Easter egg hunts, Halloween parties, bingos, New Year’s Eve parties, card parties, raffles, bus trips, white elephant sales, Christmas parties, Firemen’s picnic, secret pal party, hayrides, Arts and Craft Shows, sweetheart party, Cow Bingo, Firemen’s Ball, ETC.
The Firefly’s have also given support to the numerous functions the Fire Dept. sponsor each year. In many past years, the Firefly’s provided coffee and refreshments for the firemen fighting fires or other emergency activities.
