About Us...
When Bruce and Katrina decided to start a family, their first addition was Jessie, a black and tan German Shepherd in January, 1992. Brad, Scott and Robyn have grown up with Jessie (her name was Brad's first word!) and they now play a very active role in Coolabah Kennels.
Our family first became interested in White Shepherds after watching a story on Burkes Backyard in 2001. When we saw a litter advertised near Brisbane, we went to have a look and have been devoted White Swiss Shepherd owners ever since! We now have 5 gorgeous whites (Kim, Abbey, Bundi, Digger and Ally). Sadly, we lost our Jessie at 15 years of age in 2007.
Our love of White Swiss Shepherds has truly become a family affair - It started out as an interest for Katrina (mum) and has quickly spread to Bruce (dad) and Brad (15), Scott (13) and Robyn (11).
We are proud to belong to The White Swiss Shepherd Dog Club of Australia Inc (WSSDCA) (the National Breed Club representing the White Swiss Shepherd breed in Australia). This Club is dedicated to the ongoing improvement of the breed in our country and is affiliated with the International White Shepherd Federation.
