| Hi! This is my dog, Cookie! (The little one, not the big one,he is her friend) She is a Border Collie Mix. She was abused and dumped of at my house. She has such a cute face, how could anyone even dream of that!? Her favorite food is Ol'Roy Dog Treats. She also enjoys chewing of bones and roasted pig ears! Me and my family baby her like a princess! I have always wanted a dog. We used to live in a house that had a tiny backyard and there was no way a dog could stand it! I have cats that act like complete snobs though! Bloom and Blossom. They did NOTHING WHAT SO EVER! Then I realized a dog was for me! I waited 2 long years, then we moved to a house with 5 acres! Nervously, I asked mom for a dog....She said on Winter Break!!! YES! I jumped up and down!!! We stared to look for a dog. My mom said it had to be under 800$ and a smart one thats healthy. But after 3 weeks, still no luck. I cried. That week we went to our new house for the final walk through. A beautiful Border Collie was there! We played together and as soon as we left for our home to go pack up, I realized, I loved that dog, I loved that dog as much as my family! Even though I just met her, I wouldn't sell her for any amount of money! She filled the aching hole in my heart! The hole that belonged to a dog. The next week we moved in. I had to leave my BFF for 7 years behind. I was sad. I prayed and prayed she would be there. I bought her a pack of dog food, she was skinny, toys, food and water bowls, and a brush for the knots behind her ears the size of a quarter! We pulled in the driveway...no dog....I whistled and hollered "Here girl!!" for about 5 minutes....no dog....I cried and dropped all her things. I stood, staring at the new house thinking, "Moving, now losing a dog! What next??" But, I heard a noise! I wished it was her!!! I spun around and immediately got knocked over! Then attacked by a giant...tongue?!?! She was back! I was still crying, but this time with joy! I gave her the things and she stayed. I have lived at my house for 4 months, and to this day, Cookie is still here. My dad says, "We didn't adopt her, she adopted us." Now she is trained, so well, on cold nights, she comes in and lies on the rug by my feet. I was truly delighted when I said "Dad if we have to move, what would happen to Cookie?" he replies " We would take her." So, today that achy hole in my heart is filled with the joys of Cookie, the joy of my life. As I write this, on my couch, listening to Christmas music, and my cat snoring I see the whimpering eyes of my own, Border Collie, Cookie, in the snow. Trust me I would let her in if she didn't get sprayed by a skunk!!! P.U.!!!!!
