Young Democrats has been a club at consol for several years, encouraging political participation, discussion, and community activism. Our goal this year is not only helping with the elections coming up in November, but also encouraging the club ideals when they seem least likely to be fruitful. Through meeting debates, creative games, lecture attendances, and cooperation with community organizations, the club has managed to thrive during the 2006-2007 school year. The club [obviously] associates itself with the Democratic party and through debates has established its own set of platforms. Come to the next meeting (which occurs every Wednesday 4:00pm at Mr. Slovak's room) to take part in what is sure to be an educational and fun experience.
