I just love rain~ Even when it pours down so hard you can barely see. It was sprinkling when we went to the Library a while ago and then halfway through perusing the new books the lights go off and then back on and then off again. LOL~ The library has emergency backup lights but it was still dark. They finally came back on and I glanced outside just in time to see sheets of hail falling from the sky. Now living in Idaho we do not see rain all that often especially the bucket pouring type. People were running for cover everywhere~ ha ha ha. By the time we left the library it was still raining pretty good. Now it's back to the sprinkling. Hubby's working on a wood project for a friends little boy. It's a wooden sea turtle and really rather cool. Here's what it looks like now... Later I'll upload the finished project.
I'm starting over! How many times I've said this and how many times I've actually done it. The beautiful thing about life is that you can fail and still get up and try again~ The only thing that stops us is ourselves. Today my DD and I woke up with sore throats and fevers... It's spring break starting on Monday and I'm determined to get us both well so we can have a fun time. Chicken noodle soup here we come. Guess we'll eat that while we're watching Chicken Little~ LOL Anyways~~~ The other day I'm in my bedroom when I hear this scratching sound coming from the area of my laundry room... it's pretty loud and at first I think it's the cat but as I get closer to the dryer I can't see anything but I know the sound is coming from the dryer. Big chicken that I am I decided to not open the dryer and since I'm still recovering from surgery I can't move anything until the first of April... so I end up staring at the dumb dryer for several minutes. Finally the scratching sound stops and I grab the phone to call my DH at work. So he comes home and does the manly thing.... Nothing in the dryer, behind the dryer, or in the hose, but when we went outside we can see that the vent flap is not closing because the lint has built up around it. So we work to get it closed. We think it was either a squirrel or a bird ~ My theory is a bird since they are the ones who would want the nice lint for their nests. Awww the little moments and life that remind us that we are not quite insane enough yet!
