Since I class myself as a "Connoisseur" albeit selfmade no less. I will try to show you how you can experiment with the grape in various dishes to flirt with the taste buds of the man or lady in your life. Savouring different wines in unique approaches to age old cooking methods.
How about cooking an everyday Pot Roast in Guinness (Irish Stout Beer) with pearl onions and portobello mushrooms, with a rich dark sauce.
Or poaching a Salmon fillet in Baileys Irish Cream with fresh Rosemary and a hint of fennel.
Maybe trying a Venison Rack or Loin Roast Marinated in Port from Portugal with fresh Herbs, Port Reduction Sauce and Blueberries.
How about an Ice-Wine Sorbet to cleanse your palate between the appetizer and main course.
Or my all time favourite Dueling Soups of Roasted Red Peppers and Roasted Garlic/Zuccini with just a touch of Oaky Chardonnay and a splash of subtle Merlot.
