Tack Restoration!
At our gymkhana in Barton on July 19th, Tack Restorations of Lebanon, NH, will be joining us. If you have leather tack that needs some work, bring it with you!
JULY 19 GYMKHNA LOCATION!
Connecticut Valley Gymkhana is pleased to announce that we've locked in a location for our July 19th gymkhana!!!
Where: Orleans County Fairgrounds, Barton, VT
When: July 19th
Time: Registration from 9:00 to 9:45 AM ~ Games begin at 10:00 SHARP! Please be sure to register during the alloted time slot to be able to compete!
There will be a gate fee for spectators and other non-riders of $2.00 (we have no control over this; it is the fairgrounds policy) so please make sure you have a few bucks on you to be granted entry into the grounds.
We will keep you informed about a location for our August 1 and September 13 gymkhana as soon as information becomes available!
CVG Location Change
VERY IMPORTANT! CVG is changing it's location!
Our July 19th gymkhana will be held at the Orleans County Fairgrounds in Barton, VT.
Upon inspection of the ring at the Bradford fairgrounds this spring (where Connecticut Valley Gymkhana has held their gymkhanas in previous years), the committee of the Connecticut Valley Gymkhana does not feel that the footing in the ring is safe for gymkhana events. As many of you may remember, we did have a few horses slip last year during the gymkhana season. We want to run a fun event without compromising the safety of our participants and their horses.
At this time, our committee is still working on a location to hold our gymkhanas on August 1 and September 13. Once a location is confirmed, we will notify you via e-mail and our website so you can plan to attend!
This being said, gymkhanas are still being held at the Bradford Fairgrounds under the name "Connecticut Valley Fair Gymkhana" - please do not confuse this group with our group. The gymkhanas being held there are under different management and are not affiliated in any way with Connecticut Valley Gymkhana. At some point, we will be changing our name to avoid the possibility of confusion. Click HERE to help us come up with a new name!

About Us:
The Connecticut Valley Gymkhana committee members are Beth Kendall, Kara Kendall, Ashley Gonyaw, and Darcie Fitzgerald. Kara, Ashley, and Darcie all ride in gymkhanas, and Beth cheers us on! This year we are no longer holding our events at the fairgrounds in Bradford. We feel that the footing in the ring is unsafe, and to keep our event safe for everyone, we're seeking a new location. Gymkhanas will still be held at the fairgrounds, but under different management, so please don't confuse us with them! They are operating under the name "Connecticut Valley Fair Gymkhana," so to avoid the confusion that is certain to happen with these names so close, we will be changing our name!
