So I finally ordered my BJD body a couple days ago. It got here this morning and it's GORGEOUS o.o. There's a couple issues with it I need to fix though. It's strung WAY too tight, so I'm going to have to buy elastic string and restring it. Also, it has the trademark... er... creepy Fdoll knobby man nipples, which I'm definitely going to sand -_- Now I just need to finish the clothes I've been sewing for it (I need to find a couple pant patterns... poor guy only has a shirt!) buy a wig, and somehow wait another 2 1/2 weeks for my head. ARG.
I received FOUR free pairs of eyes when I ordered my body. Wut. I only was supposed to get one, so I'm pretty happy. heh. I think I'm going to sell two of the pairs and put that money toward to doll wig I want.

Also, I might have a summer job.. I really hope so... Perhaps I'll have money to go to the Creation festival after all? I didn't want to go at all at first because Switchfoot won't be there this year, and there wasn't any other band I was willing to shell out 40$ to see. I've been listening to a lot of Relient K's older albums lately though, and I would kind of like to see them in concert again. I guess I'll see how it all works out..

Updates

May 31st 09

So I've been doing some research on a couple old box cameras I picked up last weekend. The first is an old Ansco. I'm having finding info on this one. It has no markings other than "Ansco" on the outside, and a couple patent numbers on the inside which doesn't give me much info. I'm guessing it was made sometime between 1920-1935 as it has the more "modern" winding knob instead of a key.
The other is a Brownie No. 2.. The card inside it says it's a D model (the latest patent number is from 1908) but it is unattached form the camera and doesn't quite seem to fit back on, so I'm not positive that it is. I'm wondering if that card belonged to another box camera and was just stuck in there (the sellers I bought them from had a couple others, and didn't seem to know much about them.) Anyway, the outer-back of the camera is labeled with a metal name plate on the outside, which indicates it was probably made around 1917. The film carrier in the camera belongs to a Model E Brownie. Unfortunately, the shutter spring appears to be broken... I may try to take it apart and fix it later.
I've been trying to decide whether I'm going to sell these or keep them... They're in very good physical condition, but they don't have their original boxes, so I'm not sure if I'll get much for them. I think they both take 120mm film... It'd be fun to get some film and take pictures with the cameras just for kicks.

Also, this is cute.

Updates

May 30 09 - I need to figure out how to input Twitter on here. In fact, I still need to sign up on Twitter. Before I do that. Blah.

Also, after much contemplation, I've finally decided on a body for my BJD. Yes, Fdoll bodies aren't the loveliest thing in the world (If I had my way, I'd buy a Volks, but I don't think I'll ever have that kind of money) BUT the Fdoll pros: 1. It matches my doll head (Type B Migidoll Ryu) almost PERFECTLY, which is impressive. (win) It's hard to find good matches with Migi heads. Especially with the Feb/Match 09 batch, since they came out with two resin colors which are different that the normal Migi shades 2. it costs less than half of most bodies yet is still of good quality (win), 3. The seller I'm buying from is in the US, so I won't have to sell my soul to afford shipping (win). Also, the seller has some cute (and CHEAP) doll shoes on their site, which I'll probably order as well. If only they had some fur wigs. Oh well.
I was going to place the order today, but I chickened out. heh. Just the thought of spending $200 is making my wallet sob.

I'll probably get my wig from link. I also want these eyes.
