 Pastor Sean and Kim Weaver | The Compass Leadership Academy program was founded in 2002, by Reverend Sean and Mrs. Kimberly Weaver, while living in Indianapolis, Indiana. COMPASS Programs & Services re-located to Charlotte, NC in 2006. While serving in ministry, under the leadership of his pastor, Bishop Tom Benjamin, Jr. (Light of the World Christian Church), Rev. Weaver developed a strong passion for motivating youth to reach their full potential. Since 1994, Rev. Weaver has served as a role model, actively encouraging youth in his church and throughout the Indianapolis community to reach their personal best. A native of Memphis, Tennessee, Sean E. Weaver received his Bachelor of Administration degree from Clark Atlanta University. With more than 12 years of sales and marketing experience, Sean has worked as an Account Executive with Kraft General Foods, Abbott Laboratories, and SBC/Ameritech. Rev. Weaver graduated from Christian Theological Seminary (Master’s of Divinity) and was ordained into Christian Ministry in 2005. Kimberly Weaver was raised in Omaha, Nebraska. She attended Spelman College and Georgia Institute of Technology, where she received Bachelor of Science degrees in Mathematics and Industrial Engineering, respectively. Kim also earned a Masters of Science degree in Industrial Engineering from Purdue University. Inspired by the positive influences of her youth, Kim shares her husband’s passion for helping youth to successfully navigate adolescence. Prior to taking on a full time role in founding and developing the Compass Leadership Academy, Kim worked 8 years with FedEx Express as a Project Engineer. In 2006, the Weavers were called to plant True DESTINY Christian Church in Charlotte, North Carolina. Rev. and Mrs. Weaver have four young children: 11 year old Joshua, 10 year-old twin daughters, Jordyn and Jessica, and 6 year old Jonathan. |
