| The Community Wind Power Network organises promotions at shows and
events for farmers and activists, talks to interested groups, and intends
to organise promotional campaigns in farmers' and other publications to
interest people in setting up community wind power schemes. The network
also offers expert advice and support to people attempting to set up
community windfarms. This requires resources. You can contribute to this
activity by helping yourself in a physical sense. This could involve going
to events to promote community windfarms or by offering expert
advice on a range of matters. Expert advisers are needed in particular on
making planning applications: ecological assessments; shadow flicker;
landscape character assessments; photomontages; noise evaluations;
electromagnetic interference; dealing with planning officers and local
planning policy. Also expert advice on windspeed evaluations, civil engineering, electricity
connection issues is needed. You can also make DONATIONS to support
provision of activities mentioned above. In the future we shall publish
names of sponsors (who wish to be named!). Those giving donations will
receive regular accounts of what their money is being spent on. You make
donations payable by cheque to 'Community Wind Power Network' and send the
cheques (no cash please) to 'Community Wind Power Network', 215 Hubert
Road, Selly Oak, Birmingham B29 6ES. To discuss sponsorship matters e mail
the Network Co-ordinator (Dr David Toke) at toke1952@yahoo.co.uk. |
