What the hell are you people on?
Life, gentle reader. Nothing but life. And by life I mean pot. In my brownies. (not really)
Why make a webcomic?
Because it's easier than drawing a real comic and scanning it onto the computer. Plus, it's a good chance for me to practice my html coding.
Why make a FAQ and a character list if the only people reading this are the people who it's about?
Because I have way too much time on my hands. But mostly because I'm trying to get really good at html coding so I can start making layouts and stuff for other peoples' websites, because I really do enjoy learning how to do this. It's a great skill to have for the real world. I also like making my friends laugh, which I have a feeling this is going to do. And hopefully, once word gets out about the strip, more and more poeple will start reading it, and will need the character list and FAQ.
Do you really know The Edge? Because I'm a big fan and I'd really like to meet him...
No. As mentioned in the disclaimer on the character bios page, we have no connection to The Edge, U2, Lady Heather, or any other copyrights or trademarks that we might accidentally infringe. The only *sort of* connection we have is our various obsessions.
Is this webcomic based on real life?
Kind of. Kara, Laura, Chris, and I are all real people. All obsessions mentioned are real. The first few comics are based on Kara's rocky relationship with ex-boyfriend Chris, and random things I'm thinking about and/or talking to Kara about get thrown into the mix as well. Most of it is actually based on real life, just exaggerated to the point of fiction.
Wow. You guys must be pretty dumb.
Yeah, most of the time we are. But we're not so stupid that we can't make fun of ourselves.
Are you anything like your comic strip counterparts in real life?
Not really. Okay, yes. A lot. Until really recently, Kara was just as spaztic and attention-stealing as she is in the comic, and I am just as much of a sarcastic bitch. I try to make our characters as realistic as possible to balance out the crazy stuff, like Edge soliciting a bunny.
What started this whole thing?
In seventh and eighth grade, Kara was much more of a loser than she is now. We re-arranged the letters on her binder (they said "English") to say "shit" and then I drew a comic about it. People seemed to like it, so I drew a few more about her dangerous addiction to soy products. A long time later, in ninth grade, I found them and brought them into school, spawning a whole other series of comics. When I realized how hard it would be to get them online, I created a webcomic. I just never bothered to put it online until now.
Will we ever get to see the original comics?
If I ever plan on going to the public library, I'll bring the comics and see if I can use their scanner. But I haven't been to the public library in like, a year. However, I'll draw up some of the old ones on the computer and work them into the plot somehow by the end of the year. I promise.
