Joint Statement from MJ News Online and MJJ Forum
On November 07, 2007, Ms. Raymone K. Bain contacted MJ News Online and MJJ Forum requesting that the event organizers call her office to speak to a Mr. William Marshall regarding the proposed MJWMA Party. Michael expressed to his team that he wanted to attend. Paul from MJNO contacted Mr. Marshall and went over the logistics and security details of the event.
Please keep in mind that this has all been such short notice. We have been organizing the core of the event in the past 4 days, as Michael accepted the invite.
We met with Michael's team on Monday - they were excited about the party, and we shared our plans. We had secured the venue Club de Paris, for the event to take place and it was established that we would be selling tickets at the venue. But no, this was pulled from us the night before the day (Tuesday) so this is why we found the Conrad Hilton Hotel.. We knew most fans would be in London on Wednesday for the WMA's, so we decided to sell tickets this morning. We were able to sell tickets at the Conrad Hilton Hotel, so long as we kept it orderly, and organized. Of course, the tickets were set to sale from 10 AM to 2 PM., but, fans got there way too early (from 7) and bothered the venue a great deal, and our permission to sell tickets was revoked because of the unruly behavior that some fans exhibited. We did sell to some fans outside, as we did not want to send them away.
A new location was found where we could sell tickets, with was a place called "One Leicester Square" ... we were due to sell tickets at 1 PM.
But at the very last minute, our event managers gave us the terrible news that in fact we could no longer have Club de Paris due to the police risk assessment failing. The day before, we had warned our members not to email or call the venue, and to direct all questions to us. We feel that this played a part in the venue deciding to cancel. Also, Club de Paris never entertained a celebrity as famous as Michael Jackson, so the authorities were quite concerned. It would have been nice if they would have told us 24 hours ago.
Our event managers found a bigger venue for us, we went to check it out...but first needed to ensure that Michael's team would confirm they could attend the new venue, and get back to us. For many, many hours we tried, and got no response, and we had to make the heartbreaking decision that we needed to cancel. We were not about to do the night under the premise that Michael would attend the new venue, when we didn't know that 100%. Many associates tried contacting Michael's people, as we ALL had direct access to Michael's team. But no response. We simply had no other choice.
We spent nearly £1000 on Michael's gifts, and are also indebted £1000's for the venue hire. Also, the event organizers did not have a chance to even attend the WMA's because it was our priority to make sure the venue was secured that Michael and his fans attended a wonderful event.
Refunds will be made to those fans who did manage to purchase tickets from us - fans must email mjwmas@hotmail.
This is absolutely heartbreaking and we apologize for the inconvenience that this have caused. Please know that what we did, we did for Michael and his fans. It was a time to celebrate Michael's triumphant return to stage and for the fans to enjoy seeing The King of Pop once again.

We're extremely pleased to announce that the MJNewsOnline Michael Jackson VISIONARY Party will be held at one of London's top venues, the cc club, who are known for their spectacular lighting displays, and highly publicized events.
The likes of Slash, Usher, Beyonce, Ashanti, Lisa-Marie Presley, and many, many more have performed there, making it one of the most famous, and sought after venues in all of London.
We are working closely with cc club to create a fantastic highly themed atmosphere, complete with customized lighting effects, projection screens, and much more.
The day will consist of performances from some of the worlds best Michael impersonators and tribute artists, interspersed with free time, so that you can dance, meet new fans, check out the merchandise, the art exhibition, and the other features that we have lined up for this event.

Our current project is aimed toward MTV, because of the way they have turned their backs on Michael and have joined the media in belittling Michael. After how Michael has earned MTV huge ratings upon the release of 'Thriller', and other successful Music Video's, we find their negativity toward Michael Jackson unacceptable.
There is strength in number. Our goal is 100 individual letters expressing displeasure of MTV's current negative views and asking MTV to be more positive and respectful toward Michael on MTV! We would like to stress though that fans not show their anger by attacking MTV in their letters. MTV will become defensive which would only jeopardize the efforts of this campaign.
We want to show that this affects many of us all over the world. Be professional and respectful in your letter, as we don't want to come off as crazy or obsessed fans.
In your letter please include your first and last name and mailing address, and send your letter to GacFlxg@aol.com, who is collecting all letters to be sent to MTV. Be sure to have "MTV Letter" in the Subject Line. We want MTV to recognize that there are many people who show an interest in seeing better coverage and treatment of Michael Jackson on MTV. The UNBREAKABLE Party A celebration of Michael Jackson's 47th Birthday
The UNBREAKABLE Party will be held at the MARQUEE CLUB on Leicester Square...literally right beside the Equinox, the venue in which the event was originally going to be held!
We have had to change the event times to suit the schedule of the venue. The UNBREAKABLE Party will now begin at 12 midday, and end at 6pm.
Additionally, we have arranged for an 18+ afterparty, which will be held in the upstairs bar, inside the venue.
Performances will begin at 12 midday, and end at 4pm. From 4pm till 6pm will be the disco!
Note about tickets: we have only a few hundred tickets left, so don't miss out. PayPal payments will no longer be accepted after the 19th.
As some of you may know, the Equinox will be closing down for refubishments for 6 months. We have been informed of this on short notice, but it's not really much of a problem. The date will not change. The time will not change.
We're currently looking at much better options than the Equinox, and we're very excited about it! We have so many great things lined up!
For those of you worried about not being able to find the new venue, fear not. Our new venue will be very close to the first, and we'll arrange a meetup for those who think they'll be unable to find it. :)
