Colorguard Central (2nd part)

This is the second half of website... actually I guess it's not really a "half" since there's 3 parts.  Hmm.... anyway, you can look at guard ABC's, top 10 lists, pet peeves, FAQ's, cartoons, and, my favorite, a big long thing about what colorguard really IS.  So, be sure to visit here, too.

Angleton High School Colorguard

This is the website for my high school colorguard and winterguard.  One of my best guard friends is the webmaster, and she would love to have you sign the guestbook!  You can see how we did at competition (state champs '04!) and look at all of our silly pictures.

Texas Color Guard Circuit

This is the website for my winterguard's circuit.  It will probably be pretty boring to you unless your winterguard competes in it.  However, should you be interested in the scores of south and central Texas winterguards, this is the place for it.  Some winterguards even post staff and member lists and pictures.

Winterguard International

This is the website for WGI, which hosts world championships every year.  Again, it will probably be pretty boring to you unless your winterguard is planning on competing in the championships.  It does have some good articles and information, and it sometimes posts video clips of awesome guards.

Algy Team

Although my guard has never used outfits from Algy, they do have some pretty neat ones.  They also mail out a free catalog, which, if you're a guard nerd like me, is fun to look at on long bus rides, during class, etc.  Most of their stuff is even reasonably priced. 

Marching Arts Directory

This is an excellent directory for marching band and colorguard.  Almost all of the good websites are on here, all in one place.  So, if you're looking for a specific band, guard, association, or website, this is the place to find it.

These are all the sites where I found clipart, good information, or just got cute ideas... thanks so much!  A lot of them haven't been updated in a long time, but they still have good stuff if you haven't ever been to them before.

The Colorguard Site

This is the be all, end all of guard sites (besides mine! LOL).  Its only drawback is that it hasn't been updated in over a year.  However, it has nearly everything imaginable relating to guard.

Colorguard Corner

This is next in line for be all, end all guard site.  This was the very first colorguard site that I discovered, so it will always be special to me.  It actually hasn't been updated in years, but it still has lots of good stuff.

Colorguard Crazy 

This is a well put-together website.  I especially like all the backgrounds, icons, and clipart.

Spirit Corner

I linked this to their clipart, because they have some pretty cute images.  However, there's a whole other part to the site where you can buy guard-related clothes.

The Guard Closet

You can find some really cute guard sayings here, off of their t-shirts.  I think you're better off actually buying your stuff in person at a competition or something, though, just because you never know how stuff is going to look or fit on the internet.

They have some cute clipart.

Guard Gurus

Lots of what they call "guard thoughts and funnies" that are really cute.  They also have some good clipart.

This is where I found all the Luann cartoons by Greg Evans... very, very funny!

Colorguard Purity Test

Since I couldn't figure out how to put this on my site, I'm sending you here.  This is hilarious... you will say "yes" more than you think!

Dance Dictionary

I don't know about you, but my directors are forever spouting off things like "passe" and "releve", and so I finally had to go look up what the heck they were talking about.  This is a really good dictionary, and it has most of the dance terms that colorguard uses.  The best part is that you can look something up by the letter it starts with, so when you have absolutely no clue how to spell something like "pas de chat", you just look under the p's for something close to what it sounds like!

Colorguard Floors

The purpose of this website really is to sell colorguard floors... BUT, they have a really good "Guard Zone", with lots of information.  This is where I got several of my articles.

Article Insider

This is where I found many of the colorguard articles.  They are short and kind of repetitive, but occasionally they do actually say something worthwhile.

True Colors 

This site is awesome for teaching basics.  It has great descriptions, along with helpful pictures.  If you can't find the technique section, go to the "how-to article", then click "basics" on the menu at the top.

My Ode to Guard

There are some cute things on this site... it hasn't been updated in while, but they're still cute.  Be sure that you look at the dropdown menu in the box on the right.  You can click on the stuff on the left, but then you'll miss a whole bunch of cute things on the original menu.

Just be sure that you save your stuff to your computer or to a website like Photo Bucket, because none of these websites will keep what you make for very long... so if you put it on your website straight from where you made it, after about an hour, it won't show up.
