Some things you can do are to first tell your Neopian friends about your site. That should work well, because they would most likely visit your site. You can also make some ads linking to your site, or have your site’s name on the banner, button, or whatever, but the best thing you should do with those is to put them on more than one page, to get it viewed as much as possible. That can be on a petpage and/or user lookup on Neopets. Advertising your site on NeoBoards is also a good way to get visitors, although some people would think you are spamming, but most other people wouldn’t. If they do think your spamming, you can ignore them, but don’t stop advertising until you get at least ten people that said they would go to your site. Most of the big Neopets fansites have chat boxes, and it is a great way to advertise your site by posting your web address on the place where it says “Website Url”, and you can tell the people to visit your site.

When your site gets a little larger, and has more than five pages of content, you should get a sub-domain, like .net.tf, .co.nr, or .tk. That would make your site a little more formal, because sites with web-hosting domains can be considered newer to some people. I’m not saying that’s bad, but you get the point.

For running and advertising a site, the last thing you should do is to give up. Some people can just be like: “I can’t do this, my site is too small!” Or something like that. When you are in doubt, or feel like giving up, take a look at the bigger sites, and think about how they got “big”. It takes some time, but if you are updating, working on, and advertising your site often, pretty soon, you would get more visitors.
