• You are eligible to enter any category in which you are NOT PUBLISHED and
not judging. If you have not been published for over three years, though,
you may enter any category.
• The entry consists of the first 30 pages of your manuscript
in standard double-spaced format with 1-inch margins. You may
include a one-page synopsis, but it will NOT be judged
The title must be placed in the upper left-hand corner of each page with the
page number in the upper right-hand corner of each page. No name on
manuscript. Attach a completed entry form, check, and SASE and send to
contest coordinator’s address.
• The Contestant’s Agreement
section on the entry form must be completed for your entry to be accepted. The
contestant is responsible for choice of category entered.
• Please tell us the targeted publisher (and line, if for Harlequin or
Silhouette series romances. For example: Intrigue, Everlasting, Luna, etc.) It
will help our judges evaluate your entry accurately.
• You may enter as many times as you wish, but each entry must be mailed
separately and must include the entry fee and SASE postage.
• You may enter more than one manuscript in the same category.
• You may not enter a single manuscript in more than one
category.
YOUR ENTRY MUST BE RECEIVED BY THE CONTEST COORDINATOR NO LATER THAN MARCH 1, 2008.
Finalists will be notified in April and the final round judges will be editors.

Okay, who doesn’t like Smoothies?
One of the things I found that keeps me away from downing all that fast food when I’m in a hurry, or popping just about anything into my mouth when I get the munchies is making myself a Smoothie. (That gorgeous Dr. Oz (on Oprah) says he starts everyday with his own special SMOOTHIE – flaxseed oil, blueberries, protein powder and apple juice.)
And besides being nutritious depending on the ingredients, SMOOTHIES are great for the kiddies especially now with the nicer weather coming on (at least for us here in the Northeast, although they are forecasting snow and we already had a few flurries today.)
I’ve put together a neat PDF file of TWENTY SMOOTHIE RECIPES that are easy and fast and will help energize, (I give an ultra fast energizing smoothie, and another to help ward off colds, boost the immune system, calm the spirit and mind, as well as help you chill out on particularly busy busy days) Also there’s a great recipe to not only build up your bones, (this Smoothie is without dairy products for those who are lactose-intolerance) and stave off osteoporosis, but build up the blood and help prevent anemia. There’s one that is supposed to help alleviate those pesky migraines and headaches that crop up at the most inopportune times. Plus there’s a couple of SMOOTHIES included here that ensure you’re getting in some of those veggies.
