Colin Fisher PGA

Professional Golf Instructor

Introduction

My name is Colin Fisher I am the Head Teaching Professional at the World of Golf in Glasgow and am a fully qualified class ‘AA’ P.G.A Professional. I am also a qualified NLP (Neuro Linguistic Programming) Sports Practitioner.

Starting my Professional career at the East Renfrewshire Golf Club in 1993, I then moved to the prestigious Loch Lomond Golf Club in 1999. During the winter seasons I travelled out to Asia to play and was based in Thailand. In 2001 I took up the position of Teaching Professional at the World of Golf in Glasgow and have been teaching players of all ages and standards since.

During my time at World of Golf, I have had the opportunity to work with some accomplished players, including tour professionals. Due to this I had a trip out to coach and caddie for one player at the American Express World Golf Championships in San Francisco in October 2005.

I work with my students to meet their objectives and really involve the student in their own learning. This ensures that there is not only a fast improvement but more importantly, students have a clear understanding.

I am a firm believer that sound fundamentals are the base for a consistant golf swing and that with correct grip, posture, ball position and alignment the student will have the best chance of reaching their potential.
