The Colebrook Ambulance Corps is based at Upper Connecticut Valley Hospital, Colebrook, NH 03576.
We work closely with our friends in the Pittsburg Ambulance Corps, Errol Rescue, Beecher Falls (VT) Volunteer Fire Department, and the Colebrook Fire Department. We frequently transfer patients to Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in Hanover, NH, to Androscoggin Valley Hospital in Berlin, NH, to Catholic Medical Center in Manchester, NH, and to other hospitals in the region. We respond to about a thousand calls per year.
NOTICE
As this is a time of change with the new licensing requirements, many applications are being submitted to the Bureau with incomplete documentation. This is causing a delay in licensure of new Providers because the application packets must be returned for completion. In order to further assist with this transition, here are the key areas to keep in mind that have proved problematic since August 1, 2006:
* NEW licensees are missing either (1) documentation of completion of the required transition programs, or (2) documentation of successful completion of the required protocol examination (on-line / open book exam).
* Please note: CURRENTLY licensed Providers planning to re-certify and re-license, will also be required to show proof of a completed transition
program and protocol exam (refer to memo from the Bureau Chief dated May 26, 2006).
* Any protocol exam more than 3 months old will not be accepted for NH Provider licensure. You will be required to re-take the exam if this occurs.
Please take a moment to review these requirements and pass this information on to all effected initial Providers as well as those who will be relicensing. Posting of this notice in a prominent location would additionally educate those you may not interact with regularly.
