Personal

I'm sixteen, my name is Kristen, and I live in California.

Writing is my life.

Music is the what makes me happiest.

I choose friends over boys, but family over friends.

Savanna Rebels kick ass.

I've never had a boyfriend and I'm not particularly interested in the drama that they entail.

Currently I'm in level two French, et je l'adore.

I have a MySpace, so you can add me.

Liars are the only people I could ever hate.

I love band shirts, hot chocolate, and blue eyes.

I am simply indescribable, and so is everyone else.

Writing

Everything inspires me to write. Music, books, pictures, people, movies, names, culture, school classes, everything.

I worked out a lot of kinks and flaws in my writing when I was twelve, writing an anime series based on Yu Yu Hakusho for Quizilla. But I've obviously still got quite a few flaws to work on.

Writer's block pisses me off more than anything, and my frustration at not being able to type out a new chapter is greater than your frustration with my delay.

"One-Night Stand"/"Forget Me Not" is the most important and personal thing I've ever written because of some things that were happening when I wrote it. It was a temporary escape.

"Vampiric Nightmare" is the most difficult thing I've ever written. But it's also been the most fun.

I don't agree with every opinion I give the characters of my stories. However, I do agree with some, particularly the anti-Hollister sentiment.

Most likely I will publish and delete more stories than I can count on my fingers and toes. I just like to test the waters--er, genres.

Ellen Schreiber is my hero.

I love tragedy, but I hate Shakespeare.

When I was writing "One-Night Stand," most major characters were inspired by someone I knew personally; I just didn't realize it at the time. Curious? I've got them on the character list for that story.

I want to hear what you think about what I write. You can email me, text me, or try to catch me on IM.

Updates

2/28/08 - Okay, all done. I hope you liked the finale! I know, I know, a lot of people are saying they cried, and I totally get it, because my eyes were watering when I wrote it.... But I really love those depressing endings. I'm such a freak. Anyway, I'm working on something else right now. A sequel to Vampiric Nightmare is still undecided, as I want to focus on something new. I'm open to being a beta, if anyone's interested. Look at my beta profile on FictionPress.

1/28/08 - In case you haven't noticed, I've been updating pretty quickly. I'm really anxious for you guys to read the finale! It was so fun to write, and I can't wait to get your feedback on it. Another reason for the quick updates is the fact that more people have been reviewing, so I was happy.

1/22/08 - I finished writing the final chapter. It's very long. And I nearly cried when I wrote the end of it. Seriously. The beginning was fun, but the end...not so much. Anyway, it's about 6,700 words. I really hope you like it. I'll probably start putting out the chapters faster now. Maybe once a week. It's the editing that takes me so long. I hope you like the rest of the series!
