The following are the Rules & Regulations for the C.N.G. approved by the Commanding Officer, Eagle 1. These are based on common sense, and on the rules of the Colbert Nation forums. In the event you disagree with any of the following, feel free to contact Eagle 1, without fear of reprecussions.
Expectations of all Colbert National Guard Members
- As a member of the Colbert National Guard, you agree to present yourself in a respectful and curtious manner at all times while on the Colbert Nation forums, C.N.G. forums, or any place in which you represent the C.N.G., such as through signatures at other sites.
- Members are expected to follow all orders given to them by Eagle 1, but to realize that it is also your duty to question an order in which you believe to be unlawful - this would include any order that instructs you to do anything illegal. If you believe an order to be unlawful, given by Eagle 1, or anyone in which he may put in a command position, to come foward with this thought immediately to Eagle 1 himself (reguardless on if it's him or not), and to also suggest openly not to do the mission and/or order assigned.
- Members may not say to others that they're the Commanding Officer, or in any command position, without rightfully holding that position.
- Members may not openly say that there is a mission for the C.N.G. without it being previously approved. All mission announcments will be given out by Eagle 1 at this time.

Visual & Verbal Warning via the warning bar at the forums

Suspension from active duty
-
Dishonorably Discharged
In detail:
-
For a minor and first time infraction of flaming or spamming, Eagle 1 will contact you and give you a warning about it.
-
Any second offense and/or a moderate infraction of any of the above rules with the exception of personal discrimination and/or illegal activities will result in both a verbal warning such as Number 1, but you will also get a visual increase to your warning bar, which can be found on any of your posts at the C.N.G. forums. You can only see your own warning level.

Any situation in which you discriminate or harrass others, or repeatedly ignore other rules will result in a suspension for a set period of time, determined by Eagle 1 on a case by case basis.
-
Knownly posting of illegal material, pornographic material, severe harrassment/discrimination of others, repeatedly ignoring of other rules, or showing of hate and/or disrespect toward the United States, its military, veterans, first responders, etc will result in being dishonorably discharged from the Colbert National Guard, and not allowed to return under any circumstances, unless Stephen Colbert personally tells Eagle 1 to let you back in.
* Please note that you may constructively criticize actions done by the United States, as guarenteed by the First Amendment. However, Eagle 1 has no tolerence for complete disrespect for the U.S. You may debate issues in the Open Forum, however conspiracy theories are strictly banned.
