The Colac Braves Baseball Club competes in the
Geelong
Baseball
Association which is run through the Winter months. The GBA has been operating for over 70 years. Colac has enjoyed on field success in this competition and strives to provide a competitive team each season.
The Braves run junior and senior programs during the season, catering for ages 8 to 88. All training is conducted on Thursdays, with the juniors commencing at 4pm to 5pm ans the senior squads from 5pm onwards. The senior diamond is lit for after sunset activities and a lit batting cage is available with pitching machine or live toss options.
Experience is not needed. Options other than players include scoring, [a mystical science using many coloured pens and ancient symbols] umpires [the men and women known as blue, and it attracts financial rewards] or just a supporter taking advantage of the social activities around the club.
The social side of the club is very active, running several events throughout the season and during and after home games at the clubrooms. Make new friends and contacts that will stay with you for life.
