250 local concerned local residents attended the
Public Meeting held by Coedbach Action Group
on Wednesday 9th July,
in Trimsaran Sports Hall
Catherine Lloyd Jenkins hosted the meeting.
Over 250 concerned local residents braved a very wet evening to listen to six different speakers from the Coedbach Action Group as they shared their research findings with a very attentive audience.
The greatest area of concern expressed by residents was around the levels of emissions and pollutants that this power station will generate and the potential damaging effects that this will have on the health of local residents; we heard that the emissions are estimated to be 1 tonne per minute, 365 days a year.
There was a call from the audience for the Council to conduct a formal Human Health Impact Assessment and Councillor Catherine Lloyd Jenkins committed to take this up as a priority at the next meeting of Trimsaran Community Council
