Re: Bio-mass Power Station at the former Coedbach Washery Site, Kidwelly.
Planning application S/16781
· I am shocked to hear that you have only looked at a 2km zone of impact for this application. This has completely ignored the impact on us. This issue needs addressing urgently – a 20km zone of impact is much more appropriate. · I believe that one tonne of emissions and pollutants per minute will be detrimental to our health, especially the young, old and anyone suffering from respiratory or cardiovascular diseases. · We do not believe that this proposal is renewable, green, or sustainable – we want less carbon dioxide in our air, not more. · We are highly concerned about the impact of HGVs on the roads, and the safety issues that this creates. · During the last 20 years, there has been significant inward investment into regeneration aimed at tourism, recreation and leisure, ie more than 12 major projects including the high profile Ffos Las Race Course, Pembrey Country Park, Cefin Sidan award winning beach, The National Cycle Path, St Illtyd’s National Walking Path. All of these recreation facilities are within 5km of the proposed Power Station and in direct line of site. We believe that this will put jobs and investment at risk and be detrimental to leisure and tourism. Yours sincerely
