Say NO to a Power Station at Coed Bach * The planning application for a Power Station represents a material change of use to a site which has outline planning permission for light industry, storage and distribution. This is completely out of context. * During the last 20 years, there has been significant inward investment into regeneration aimed at tourism, recreation and leisure, ie more than 12 major projects including the brand new race course and equine centre of excellence Ffos Las Race Course, Pembrey Country Park, Cefn Sidan award winning beach, The National Cycle Path, St Illtyd’s National Walking Path. * All of these recreation facilities are within 5km of the proposed Power Station and in direct line of site. We believe that this will put jobs and investment at risk. * We are highly concerned that 500,000 tonnes per annum (TPA) of emissions will be pumped into the local atmosphere which will have a detrimental effect on the health of individuals in our community, particularly the young and old. * There is a proven health risk between Power Station emissions and increased incidence of respiratory disease in the young and cardiovascular diseases in the elderly. * The Power Station proposes to import 375,000 TPA of wood from
