Cochonfucius (孔八戒) has two uncles. One is Confucius (孔子), a teacher full of wisdom, and one is Pigsy (猪八戒), a man who looks like a pig and has not attained perfection yet.
Cochonfucius is somewhere in between.
His Chinese name is Kong Bajie, where "Kong" means "Confucius" and "Bajie" means "Pigsy". His adventures are also published in French. When in a playful mood, he uses Jean-Baptiste Berthelin as a pseudonym.
