2007 Intro & Welcome

Hello From Camp!

My name is Natasha Stern and I’m the program coordinator at Camp Swatara.  Here at camp we are all busy getting ready for summer 2008.   I would like to encourage each of you to consider being a part of our camp program.  This summer we will be exploring the theme Handle With Care.  We’ll talk about caring for God’s creation and the many gifts we have been given.

Please remember that camp is available for everyone!  We offer programs for campers of all ages.   There are also plenty of volunteer and paid staff opportunities.  If you are 16 or 17 years old you can volunteer as a counselor in training (CIT).  If you are 18 or older you can volunteer as a counselor or resource person OR you can work for a summer here at camp and get paid!

While we provide the opportunity for a typical residence camp for junior high and younger, we also have specialty camps, including camps that focus on the arts and camps that offer a little bit of adventure.  Take a look at our schedule to figure out which camp is best for you!

For more information about Camp Swatara and to find a registration form, please visit www.campswatara.org

Camp is an important and fun part of many lives.  We hope that you will come and spend a week or more with us this summer as we explore God’s gifts and how to care for them!

Blessings to you,

Natasha

Summer Camp Theme

Handle With Care

God has provided us with many gifts.  We have been given the gifts of creation, relationships with one another and individual abilities.  This summer we will look at how to appreciate and care for each of these gifts.  Campers will explore the best way to act as good stewards of God's creation.  We will also look at the good and bad ways of taking care of our relationships with one another.  God's gifts are wonderful parts of our lives and we will discover how best to care for them!
