)When you post a picture, comment on at least 2 pictures below yours and three above yours.
)When posting a description with your picture say " C&C" or "Comments & Crits please !" , or the like to let people know you expect a little attention. DO NOT DEMAND IT. Its not guaranteed you'll get it either way.
)When no one gives you the compliments you expect, continue commenting on their work anyway. It lets people know you are there and that you too are on the journey to becoming a better artist.
)Recognize that there are many reasons people aren't commenting. One of them could be they don't want to hurt your feelings with a harsh crit, but they don't want to lie by saying things like "Awesome !"
)When people give you a harsh crit, DONT GET ANGRY. They obviously care about your progress enough to tell you whats wrong with your picture.
)When giving a crit, there is no need to say " u suck BAD " and what not. It makes you look stupid and mean.
)When giving a crit, remember to be very specific about whats wrong. Vague comments like " uh... needs work" can be frustrating because they don't exactly tell whats wrong.
)Receive criticism as gratefully as you receive compliments. A nice "thank you" lets your commentators know you appreciate their help.
)If you still feel unappreciated, say something calmly. Don't go out of your way for attention. Its just as bad as fishing for compliments by beating yourself up.
)Quit only if YOU don't care. If art isn't what drives you, then find another hobby you'll enjoy more.Don't just give up because your art isn't popular. Art is hard and takes time. You improve over time, and it takes alot of patience and practice.
