About Me

My Studies:

The mind:

In the 70's I studied counseling and research psychology, getting my degree in psychology with a minor in sociology.  I was on my way to becoming a counselor.  Then I became an athlete and my life changed.

The mind/body connection:

In 1984 I received a Master's Degree in Sports Psychology from the University of North Texas.  There I studied motivational techniques, counseling, learning theories (not everyone learns things the same, you know) and group dynamics.  This prepared me to work with individuals or groups to perform at their optimum level or to go into corporate fitness and work with individuals who worked too much and exercised too little.   Exhaustion and injuries caused my health to force me to stop working altogether for many years.  My life had changed directions again!

The mind/Spirit connection:

Since then I have added many tools as I've searched for answers to the big questions in life.  Most of the tools revolve around energywork, changing lives through changing thought patterns and getting in touch with our spiritual sides.

This has been an education that I have put over 30 years of my adult life into.  And, I love sharing what I have learned with others.

How I Work:

I call myself a Personal Coach because of my eclectic group of skills--and my intent to take you from where you are now and help you get where you want to go.

Using releasing techniques I help you remove the blocks to success in whatever area you have chosen to excel or improve in right now.  Whether it is sports related, personal growth, or meditation and spiritual growth--if you are not where you want to be it is possible that something is blocking you.  Let's find out what it is.  And then you will have tools that you can use on anything you decide to do in the future!

My motto:  Everything in BALANCE.

If you work too much--exercise.  If you think too much--meditate.  If you practice your sport too much--develop a spiritual life.  I'll help you with the details of HOW to do this.

Whatever good thing you do too much of can throw you out of balance after a while.  To perform optimally you must open up to what you are resisting and release your blocks to achievement.  This will balance your life.

This is coaching-not psychotherapy.

I am working with emotionally healthy individuals who want to go forward in their life.  They might have blocks, but they have done the work of becoming healthy already.  If you need to work on issues I recommend finding a good counselor.  I have upmost respect for the wonderful work they do.  But, I am not working in that field right now.  Once you reach the point that your life is under control but yet you know that you want more-come see me!

Peace To You All!
