Reiki is a technique for moving Universal Energy (Ki) through your system. When this energy moves it can remove blocks that have been stored in your body from experiences you have had throughout your life. This clearing of the blocks leads to your being more in balance. Reiki works on the physical, emotional and spiritual systems-whichever is in the most urgent need. It is experienced as very relaxing and can be used for stress reduction, among many other things.
In a session I use any and all types based on what can be most useful to the client on that particular day.
When teaching, I always teach Traditional to my students first. Only after Traditional has been thoroughly worked with do I teach them additional types of Reiki.
