History of Circle K

Circle K International is a collegiate service organization with a
worldwide membership that promotes service, leadership, and
fellowship. Each Circle K club is sponsored by at least one
Kiwanis Club, and are a part of a district. For CNU Circle K, we
are sponsored by Peninsula at Oyster Point Kiwanis and Warwick
Kiwanis. Christopher Newport University is located in the Capital
District and more specifically theTidewater-64 Division along with
four other neighboring universities including Old Dominion University,
Virginia Wesleyan College, Norfolk State University, and
The College of William and Mary.

More about Service

Service is one of the most important things we do in Circle K.
In Circle K, service is an activity you do without compensation,
meaning you participate in the activity with no real incentive.
Over the year, Circle K'ers have done over a million hours of
service on campus and within their community. The goal is simple,
to make the world a better place!

More about Leadership

In Circle K, there are many opportunities for members to take on
leadership roles, either through serving on the district board or
international board, or serving a leadership position in your own
club. The leadership opportunities offer Circle K'ers a chance to
become active citizens once they graduate from college.

More about Fellowship

In Circle K, we love to hold events with our neighboring Circle K
clubs. We develop friendships with our clubs in our division as
well as our district; we also develop relationships with our
Kiwanis sponsors.
