Central Mass Onstage is a non-profit community theater group originated in the Holden/Paxton/Rutland area of Massachusetts. CMO is based upon an idea of keeping every member of the family involved in the group, whether it's by being on stage dancing, singing, acting, or helping backstage with the technical aspects of the show like costumes, lighting, sound, or props. Every bit is so helpful.

Non-profit basically means that CMO recycles the profits from one show to go towards the next. Through the months during the show rehearses, many fund-raisers are put into place like Human-i-Tees, by buying an ad in the program, or a t-shirt designed by Amy Sheridan that sponsors the current musical. To make sure that everyone has a chance to get into the musical, there is no fee to join CMO. All you need is dedication.
