Over the past few months we have received several questions about our company and so we thought it best to answer a few of them and to post the answers for all to see. What is The Corporate Ministry?

Answer: We are a company that specializes in helping people who are looking to start their own business. We assist in everything form writing a business plan, to marketing and funding. Our goal is to offer the most complete source of small business information possible so that others can learn and be successful.

Why are you trying to help others?

Answer: We help people because the more businesses being run means more jobs and a better economy. As the country struggles many lose their jobs and suffer. But studies now show that small business ownership has risen 45% in the last two years as many companies close down or move over seas. With higher food, gas, power and heating bills many are looking for ways to make extra money.  The problem is, there are are also many crooks out there who are looking to take advantage of others. So we decided to create a place were people could go and learn and share their experiences without someone trying to scam them. We want everyone who is willing to learn and work hard, to be successful in their business and in life. So if you are serious about starting your own business you have come to the right place.

How do I find financing for my business and is there grants I can get?

Answer: When it comes to grants their is good and bad news. The good news is there are grants available but you must meet the requirements in order to recive them. We have several links to grant sources which will list the grant amount, requirments, and what it can be used for. I want to start a business, but where do I start?

Answer: The best way to start a business is to sit down and figure out what kind of business you would like to start.  This is one of the toughest road blocks to overcome because you have to figure out what your goals are, what skills you have and what you hope to accomplish? For example say you like to cook and want to open a restaurant? First you need to figure out what kind of restaurant you want to open and if you have the knowlege to run it. Then you need to make sure you have the proper training and skills to turn out large amounts of food for your customers? Another question is will you hire people to cook and manage your restaurant or will you do it all yourself? These are very important things that you must ask yourself when making your choice on a business to start. You must make sure to be honest with yourself about what skills you have to offer, because the one that will pay the price will be you! Don't let your pride get in the way of your success, if you do not know something then ask someone who does.
