Specialising with Blue in Self and Butterfly

Cloverleaf Stud is a British Rabbit Council (BRC) registered Stud working to breed Dwarf Lops in the more unusual colour of Blue in both Self and Butterfly. Run by a member of the BRC we strive to produce the best quality in type, colour, pattern, condition and temperament, enjoying some success on the exhibition table. We are happy to export stock to help you with your current breeding program or to provide you with your foundation stock. We have previously exported rabbits as pets, but we must be certain of your trustworthyness before this occurs.

Our kittens are given daily handling from day one, and given quality time, care and attention before moving to their new homes at the age of ten weeks. They arrive at their new homes with a care booklet, a pedigree, a policy of ownership, a weeks supply of food, plus instructions for weaning them onto a new food, and contact numbers, as we are always happy to help. Each rabbit we breed is valued and we are happy for them to be homed as breeding and exhibition stock with those registered with the BRC, but equally happy for people to adopt them simply as pets and much loved members of the family. We encourage the idea of the houserabbit and are happy to provide help and information on this. The Rabbit Welfare Fund

have wonderful information available on this.

We have some rabbits ready to go to new homes at the moment. Please click here to see them!

How to care for your Dwarf Lop

The Name... Cloverleaf

Cloverleaf Stud was named after a very special rabbit called Clover. She was the doe in a pair of rabbits that Hilary Jessey sold me to get me started in rabbit breeding. Clover was amazingly typey, had a very rich colour and was a wonderful breeding doe. She had three litters and gave me my first show rabbit which I had bred myself, who unfortuanately passed away a few days before his mother to the same illness. I wanted to do something special to commemorate Clover and the rabbits which she bred and so I decided to name my revamped stud after her so she'll never be forgotten (not that I could ever forget her). She was incredibly special to me and would lie in my arms like a baby. She always gave me kisses when I opened her hutch and shared the joy of her babies with me. She didn't mind me going in the nest at all, and we understood each other. It hurt a lot to lose her, but naming the stud after her helped me to make a new start without regret.

Here are some pictures of my first little girly:
