History Begins

February 20, 2005

The Tampa Bay Marauders have now been officially added to the OIF2's team roster.  Today, the owner of the franchise as well as his coaching staff have all been announced.

Brian Clothier has had a storied career in professional sports entertainment since 2000.  He has held many championships in many federations.  Currently, he is one half of the #1 contenders for the FCW IC Tag Team Title as well as being the #1 contender for the FCW Heavyweight Championship.  His ownership company has managed the careers of many wrestlers also whom have shot their way to the top of their profession.  Clothiersports biggest name client is currently the UWA World Champion, Mean Mr. Fists.  The sports complex has taken the name Clothiersports Arena in a three year contract.

Brian Clothier officially named his coaching staff in an online post.  The rumors were true and Marv Levy was named Head Coach of the Bay Marauders with a two year contract.  Most notably, Coach Levy took the NFL's Buffalo Bills to four consecutive Super Bowls.  Coach Levy was named to the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2001.

Coach Levy's staff will be filled by Offensive Coordinator Steve Young.  Steve Young was the quarterback for the San Francisco 49ers and has won Super bowls as well as being named to the Pro Football Hall of Fame in Canton, Ohio just this year.  Tampa's Defensive Coordinator, also previously a 49er, LA Rider,  and NY Jet, Ronnie Lott played safety in four Super Bowls alongside Young and also Joe Montana.  He was named to the HOF in 2000.  The special Teams coach, and also HOF favorite, Brian Mitchell spent most of his career running back punts and kickoffs.  He has played with the NY Giants, Philadelphia Eagles, and retired as a Washington Redskin.

WR/RB and DB/LB coach will be Deion Sanders of the Atlanta Falcons, 49ers, Cowboys, Redskins, and most recently the Baltimore Ravens.  OL/DL will get their knowledge from perrenial HOF balloter, Joe Jacoby.  Jacoby played in four Super Bowls under coach Joe Gibbs, winning three.  Joe and his teammates made a name for themselves for their ferocious play in the trenches.  They became affectionately known as "The Hogs."

Now that the coaches are in place, they look to the draft.  Already, war room proceedings are under way.  Talk around the league says that Mr. Clothier has one of the most well prepared draft lists in the entire OIF2. With three Hall of Fame coaches at the top, Tampa is in pretty good hands.
