This page contains a record of previous site updates. The updates have been sorted by month and the previous month will be added here at the beginning of each new month. Be sure to keep visiting the Homepage for the latest updates though!
>Wednesday 12th<
Resurrected the long lost Inventory page. The first ten items are up there to view now, with more to follow soon. I have also added it to the Graveyard under resurrections.
>Thursday 6th<
A new affiliate joins us today: Zelda Stuff!
>Tuesday 4th<
Added the Articles page
>Monday 27th<
We have a new affiliate today: The excellent Astral Observatory. The site has a brilliant collection of walkthroughs for the 3D Zeldas; Ocarina, Majora and Wind Waker (with a Twilight Princess one coming soon.) The site can be found in future via the Affiliation and Support pages.
>Saturday 25th<
Updated the Support page.
>Friday 24th<
Further details of The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass added to the Zelda Series page.
>Thursday 23rd<
Updated the News page with news of a new Zelda game: Phantom Hourglass for the Nintendo DS. I've also added the game to the 'Future of Zelda' section on the Zelda Series page.
>Wednesday 15th<
Nothing major to report today, except that I am still alive! There is a new item of news on the News page. The second Quickfire Question is below. I have also update the Current Interests section on the About page. Last month's update (yes, sadly it's the singular for February!) can now be found in the Archive.
>Sunday 12th<
Last month's updates can now be found in the Archive as always. One new poll has been added to the Polls page as well as the first Quickfire Question on the homepage. There are also two new affiliates on the Affiliation page - Kokiri Kid and Myths of Hyrule.
>Wednesday 25th<
News page updated. Hyrule.net added to the Links page.
>Saturday 21st<
The affiliates list continues to grow on the Affiliation page, with Zelda Nations being the latest edition. I only realised today that it was Woods of Mystery's second birthday yesterday! Has it truly been that long? Never mind, if you'd like to join me with a belated verse of 'Happy Birthday' then feel free.
>Tuesday 3rd<
Happy New Year to you all!
Quite a big update today, or perhaps rather a collection of small updates:
- The first Round Two Battle of the Ally Contest is now up on the Contests page.
- 3 new entries to the Bestiary.
- 4 new Polls added.
- 1 new Soundtrack added.
- December updates added to the Updates Archive.
>Wednesday 21st<
I have given the site a Christmas theme with falling snow and a banner on each page. The next round of the Ally Contest is now up on the Contests page too - it's between the Happy Mask Man and Sheik this time. The Great Deku Tree easily won the last round to become the seventh character through to Round Two. Who will be the eighth and final one to make it? Only you can decide...get voting!
>Sunday 18th<
Just a small update today. I have finally added the Tingle RPG to the Zelda Series page, although no information is known about it at present. The News page has also been updated with Nintendo's latest software figures for its most popular franchises (including Zelda of course!)
>Saturday 3rd<
After the rather hectic November for updates, which you can now see in the Updates Archive, I think it's safe to say that December will be a little more sedate site-wise. Just as a brief note, the Features page is down until I can scheme up some more uses for it. That is all for now.
Just a quick update to round of the month. Woods of Mystery has recently acquired a fifth affiliate, namely Hylian Legends. Find them via the Affiliation page or the Support page in future. I have also added an update to the recent news/rumour of a Zelda Movie, unfortunately it seems those hoping for a movie to be made are going to have to be disappointed, at least for now. That'll mean the News page for you if you want to take a quick glance.
>Saturday 26th<
There's a brand new page now up - the Features page. Special content and articles will find there home here in the future. Right now, the first ever Triforce Awards are there to be viewed. I have chosen my own favourite games for each category (such as best platform game, best racing game, etc.) for winner and runner-up positions. It's meaningless explaining it here - just visit the page!
>Monday 21st<
New affiliate: ZeldaGCubed. It's a cool website with stacks of information about each individual Zelda game, plus much more! They have been added to both the Affiliation and Support pages.
>Saturday 19th<
News of a possible Zelda movie added to the News page.
>Wednesday 16th<
The second new item in as many days has hit the News page! The next round of the Ally Contest is also up on the Contests page. Choose between The Great Deku Tree and Makar for your vote this time.
>Tuesday 15th<
The updates continue to come thick and fast! Today I have added the two old versions of the site layout (Versions 1.0 & 2.0) for you to view in the Graveyard under a new section called 'Site Skins.'
There is also a new news item up on the News page. The Bestiary now has a handy Letter Search facility to make finding particular enemies much quicker and easier.
Lastly, there are 3 new scores added to the league tables on the Quizzes page. Think you can beat those scores? Have a go yourself!
>Monday 14th<
There's been quite a bit of activity on the site today. First and foremost, I have a new affiliate - The Wind Waker. You can link them through the Affiliation and Support pages in the future. This is a great site, I'll be a regular myself!
However, most of the activity has been centred around the Quizzes page. There is a brand new quiz to try your hand at (cleverly titled Quiz 2) this time focussed on Temples and Dungeons. There are also 3 new hi-scores added to the league tables and the competition is heating up!
>Saturday 12th<
Minor updates are out again in force today! I have now uploaded 2 brand new button links for Woods of Mystery, which look very snazzy indeed, onto the Links and Affiliation pages. You can use these to link to this website from your own. Both graphics come courtesy of Zelda Palace, who are also now on both my Links and Support pages. You can also find them via the Web-Ring.
Elsewhere, 3 more recent questions and answers have been added to the Mailbag and I have sorted out some annoying irratic font issues on the Links and Zelda Series pages.
>Friday 11th<
A few smaller updates have been made today. Firstly, I have added a new person to the leaderboard on the Quizzes page (currently in 1st place with an impressive 95%.) I have also added another three old site pages to the Graveyard - namely the Past Polls, Shop and Arcade pages. On the About page, a few expired links have been taken down. Finally, I have added Part II of the Ocarina of Time manga comic to the Manga page.
>Wednesday 9th<
I've added some new MIDI downloads to the Multimedia page.
>Monday 7th<
Some new content has arrived today folks! Firstly, I have reworked the Quizzes page so that the answers are selectable in a multiple choice format. The old quizzes have been taken down, but there is one brand new one to try your hand at right now centred around Zelda Bosses and Enemies. Once you've completed the quiz and submitted your answers I will give you your score and then place you on the League Table also on the Quizzes page. Good luck!
The second and final new addition today is the last section of the About page - The Legend of Zelda Series section. Have a look for yourself here.
>Sunday 6th<
Just to keep you all abreast of what's happening, I have removed two pages - the Shop page and the Arcade page. The Shop items simply weren't selling and the Arcade just seemed unnecessary after some further consideration. I have not added any new content today, but keep an eye out in the next few days.
Also just a quick thank you to those of you who continue to visit and support the site, I've noticed numbers increasing over this last week. Cheers everyone!
>Wednesday 26th<
I've added a brand new page today - the Arcade page. That's right, online games are making a welcome return to Woods of Mystery once more! For now there is a choice of five games - Tetris, Ice Breakout, Battle Pong, Cannon Blast and Snake. These may change over time, so check back every now and then if you're after some different games.
I have also added 1 new item to the Shop.
>Sunday 23rd<
I've done quite a tidy up around the site today. Firstly, the 'Main' and 'Community' dividers in the navigation bar have been removed and I've simply titled 'Site Menu' at the top. Click on that for an overview of all of the pages at once. I have removed one or two redundant pages such as the Web-Ring and Mailing List pages to clear out some unnecessary clutter around the site. The Past Updates page lives on, but not in the navigation bar (click the 'View Updates Archive' link below to see previous updates at any time.)
The Polls page has been changed - I removed two polls, but added four new ones. A couple of name changes have taken place too - The Survey page has been renamed Visitor Survey and the Games page is now known as the Zelda Series page to avoid confusion. The Shop page has also had a presentation change and I have deleted some unnecessary information to simply things a little more. Finally, and perhaps most interestingly, I have made a start to the Manga page at last. Plot summaries and external resources for the Ocarina of Time Manga Part I and the Majora's Mask Manga are up there now!
>Saturday 22nd<
Wow, those twenty days flew by and I've barely even looked at Woods of Mystery. Apologies everyone. Just a small update today, but more of a way of letting you all know that I'm still alive! I removed the Blog page as I couldn't really see any decent use for it. I've also updated the section about me on the About page with a quick profile and the latests on my interests. I finally got round to putting up the next battle on the Contests page, so be sure to go there and vote to keep your favourites in the running!
>Sunday 2nd<
I have taken away the Past Polls page and replaced it with a Polls page under the Community section. Go there to have your say on a number of issues. I have also created a Buyer's Chart for the Shop so that buyers have an easier time of working out total costs.
>Saturday 1st<
September updates added to the Past Updates page. There's a beginning of the month sale on in my Shop (in case the more than obvious banner managed to escape your attention!) Buy now to save £££s on Zelda merchandise!
>Thursday 29th<
I have re-arranged the navigation bar to the left by splitting the various sections into different groups. Now the pages and links come under 'Main' and 'Community' or 'My Affiliates'. As an extra feature, click on any of these dividers and you can see an overview of all of the pages or links under that heading. Hopefully, this should aid navigation of Woods of Mystery so that everyone can find exactly what they're looking for much quicker.
>Saturday 24th<
Some more screens and some official art from Zelda: Twilight Princess have been added to the Image Gallery.
>Thursday 22nd<
I have joined up to The Legend of Zelda Web-Ring Community today. This will hopefully improve not only the status of Woods of Mystery but the other websites in the community besides. Please help to support the others in the web-ring by using the links at the top of the page to scroll through them. Alternatively, you could visit my new Web-Ring page in the community section.
>Friday 16th<
1 new item has been added to the Shop.
>Monday 12th<
New additions to the Mulitmedia page today - the first batch of MP3s have arrived! There's a mixture of music from A Link to the Past and Ocarina of Time at the moment. I'll keep you all informed if any more are added. The next round of the Ally Contest is now up too, so get voting to take your favourite into the next round.
>Thursday 8th<
I have added The Legend of Zelda: Collector's Edition to the Shop.
>Wednesday 7th<
I added a Shop to the website today! Soon you will be able to buy various Zelda items there, but for now the first two items (The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time Re-arranged Album and Link's Awakening for the Gameboy) are available to buy. I have also taken the chance to do something of a major overhaul to the Bestiary. Now I have added notes on some of the locations you can find each enemy and you can also skip to related entries in an instant.
>Tuesday 6th<
I've added a Mailing List to the website to allow visitors to receive e-mail updates of the latest happenings in the world of Zelda and this website. Click the link to subscribe. I also completed another About section today. This time it was the About: Woods of Mystery section so you can now read all about the history of this website since its initial creation.
>Sunday 4th<
Updates are still running nice and smoothly at the moment. I have completed the About: Webmaster section on the About page so you can all finally learn all about me! I have also finished the site Survey, so please complete it when you have time as it helps me to guage what my visitors like and dislike about the website. The News page is now up and running with one or two recent news stories for you to take a gander at. I have also added new content to the Soundtracks page recently, so be sure to check that one out as well. Finally on new additions (or rather old ones!) I have added all of last months updates to the Past Updates page.
>Tuesday 30th<
Things are slowly progressing around here now. Here's what's happened around the site today:
>Tuesday 23rd<
I hope you all like the changes I am making. Just a note, if you look at the nav bar to the left you will see I have grouped the pages into 'Site Sections' and 'Zelda Sections'. These dividers not only separate out the content of the website, but I have made it so that they can also be clicked for a handy overview of the pages on offer in that section.
Anyway, here's where today's new content has gone:
>Monday 22nd<
Site redesign ongoing. New content added for the following pages:
