Q: Why do you often remove pages prematurely?
A: I'll start by saying this: there is not one straight answer to this question. However, if I do this from time to time there will always be a good reason for doing so. Mainly, adding pages and seeing them in the flesh is the best way for me to see what, in my opinion at least, does or doesn't work. At other times, it may be the visitors that disapprove or do not respond to idea that I thought might work. Aside from asking me directly, your best bet is probably my
Graveyard page as it provides the odd detail as to why pages were scrapped. I'll stress once more that if ever I do this it is ultimately for a greater good.
Q: Any chance of a chatroom returning to the website?
A: At this point, it's a maybe. It all hinges on how the popularity of Woods of Mystery alters over the coming months. If I see a great improvement in visitor counts then perhaps I will consider bringing this feature back. However, in the past it has proved to be very under-used and it is unlikely to return anytime soon.
Q: How about a forum, anything in the pipeline?
A: Now this is something I can speak more positively of. I am currently in the process of creating a Woods of Mystery forum, but this is only in the very early stages. Look out for this feature sometime in the future. As to when I cannot currently divulge.
Q: How many Zelda games have been made to date?
A: There have been eleven entries to the Zelda series so far. They are:
- The Legend of Zelda (NES)
- Zelda II: Adventure of Link (NES)
- The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past (SNES)
- The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening/DX (Gameboy/Gameboy Color)
- The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time (N64)
- The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask (N64)
- The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Seasons (Gameboy Color)
- The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Ages (Gameboy Color)
- The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker (Gamecube)
- The Legend of Zelda: The Minish Cap (GBA)
- The Legend of Zelda: Four Swords Adventures (Gamecube)
As you can see, this list excludes remakes, collector's editions or the old Philips CDI titles that are probably best forgotten.
For more information on the games above, check my Zelda Series page.
Q: Can I affiliate with your website?
A: For information on how to become an affiliate, go to my
Affiliation page.
Q: How much does Zelda: The Minish Cap cost to buy?
A: RRP price is the same as any other GBA game currently, £29.99. However, you can find it far cheaper than this if you are clever and shop around a bit. I would recommend
ebay as your best bet at getting the game cheap. Be warned however that many sellers sell unofficial versions of games (particulary on GBA I have noticed.) So whatever you do, don't buy anything that looks in the least bit dodgy. I like to think of myself as fairly assertive when it comes to such things, but I myself have fallen into sellers' traps once or twice.
Q: What is your personal favourite Zelda title?
A: Always a tough one, but my answer has got to be Ocarina of Time. Not only is it the first Zelda title I ever played, but after going back to older titles and sampling the newer ones since I still have yet to find one that surpasses Ocarina of Time. A close second for me is Majora's Mask, with A Link to the Past and The Wind Waker joint third. I hope that the upcoming Twilight Princess will claim my top spot, but it's going to be easier said than done!
Q: How about your least favourite Zelda game?
A: In some ways, it is harder to choose a least favourite game of a series than a favourite; and Zelda is no different. Even so, Zelda II: Adventure of Link would get my vote as I probably got the least enjoyment out of it compared with the others in the series. However, all of the games are special in their own way.
Q: When is Twilight Princess going to be released?
A: It has been delayed until after this fiscal year now (which means anytime after March 31st 2006) I know it's a long wait but, trust me on this, the wait will most definately be worth it. The game will be released in all regions on a date to be confirmed following March 31st 2006.
