Full Name: Epona
Age: Unknown
Gender: Female
Role: Horse

Profile: Epona appeared in both the N64 Zeldas but hasn't been seen since and many had hoped she would make a come back in The Wind Waker, unfortunately she didn't. Epona grew up on Lon Lon Ranch and became Link's horse when he won a bet with Ingo (the ranch owner at the time.) She was then kidnapped by the Skull Kid in Majora's Mask and kept in Romani Ranch until Link rescues her. Epona is very fast and helped Link make his way across Termina field and Hyrule field at a quicker pace. She usually comes at the sound of her song - Epona's Song - which Link plays on his ocarina. Again, most Zelda fans hope to see Epona make a welcome return in the upcoming Zelda title for the Gamecube.
Full Name/Title: Ganondorf Dragmire/King of Thieves
Age: Unknown
Gender: Male
Role: Evil Mastermind

Profile: Ganondorf has appeared in a few of Link's quests, most recently The Wind Waker and is the leader of many evil minions he enchants with his magic to attack Link and Zelda. His strength and power are second to none and he also uses various magical attacks against Link. His ultimate desire is to aquire the legendary triforce. He already holda the triforce of power and knows that if he also holds the triforces of wisdom and courage the gods will do as he wishes, which is to transform Hyrule into a land of pure evil. Link holds the triforce of courage while Zelda has the triforce of wisdom being the reason Ganondorf troubles them both. In Ocarina of Time, Ganondorf changed into an even more powerful form known only as Ganon who was a huge beast with two weapons. Ganondorf appeared as a playable character in Super Smash Bros. Melee for the Gamecube and was also rumoured to be playable in Soul Calibur 2 but sadly he was not included in the game.

Role: Mask Salesman

Full Name: Kaepora Gaebora
Age: Unknown
Gender: Male
Role: Owl
Picture: Click Here
Profile: Kaepora has helped Link out in several adventures but his most memorable appearance has to be in Ocarina of Time. It seems as if there are no limits to his knowledge and the faith he has in Link. It is unsure what happens to Kaepora in Ocarina of Time after Link grows up because he is only ever spotted within Link's youth but it seems likely that once swept into the chaos caused by Ganondorf in Ocarina of Time he flew far away to the land of Termina where he would next meet Link as a child in Majora's Mask. Wisdom is not the only way this particular owl chooses to help Link though, he also carries Link in his talons to where he needs to get to; be it down Death Mountain or elsewhere in Hyrule. It would be a surprise not to see the owl back for the new Zelda game which is upcoming for the Nintendo Gamecube.

Profile: The main hero of every Zelda game to date deserves to be an A-list Nintendo star. He is a highly skilled with a large variety of weapons and has never failed to save Hyrule from its numourous threats. Link usually wairs a green suit known as the kokiri tunic, brown kokiri boots and he carries a kokiri/hero's/wooden sword with him at the beginning of his adventures. Link carries a whole host of other weapons along with him on his quests such as bombs, a bow and arrow set, a boomerang and the ever useful hookshot which can grab onto ledges and then pull Link to them once hooked. In nearly all of his adventures, Link sets out to rescue the beautiful princess Zelda from whichever evil has decided to pounce on her each time. Other journey's Link has undertaken have been to find an old friend, (Navi the fairy) awaken a wind fish and even rescue his own sister from peril. Link has also appeared into other non-zelda games such as the ever popular Super Smash Bros/Melee for the N64/Gamecube and Soul Calibur 2 for the Gamecube.
Full Name: Tingle (Belives he's a fairy.)
Age: 35 years old
Gender: Male
Role: Map Seller
Picture: Click Here
Profile: Tingle has appeared in three Zelda titles to date: Majora's Mask, Oracle of Ages and The Wind Waker. He offers his services to Link be it through selling him maps of Hyrulian areas or various other items. Aged 35, he is very childish for his age but is soon friendly with Link. In The Wind Waker, Link rescued Tingle from a prison cell on Windfall Island and Tingle gave him the Tingle Tuner in exchange, which allowed Link to contact him for help at any point in the game. Tingles maps are both relatively cheap in rupees; mainly due to his friendship with Link because Tingle gives him a nice discount, and also very detailed. Tingle is bound to crop up in the next Zelda title for the Nintendo Gamecube.
Full Name: Princess Zelda/Sheik
Age: Unknown/Unknown
Gender: Female/Female
Role: Royalty/Mysterious Stranger
Pictures: Click Here /Click Here
Profile: Zelda is obviously an important character in the series of the same name. She is the humble princess of Hyrule and enlists Link's help in many of the games. Zelda herself is fragile but she possesses very powerful magical abilities. In Super Smash Bros. Melee, Zelda could use Din's Fire, Nayru's Love and Farore's Wind to attack enemies, protect herself and warp around respectively. In Ocarina of Time, Zelda disguises herself as Sheik and only reveals her true identity right at the end of the game, to Link's suprise. More recently in The Wind Waker, a mysterious pirate named Tetra was also really Princess Zelda! With her weatlh of magical prowess and mysterious nature, Zelda is an important yet secretive character.
Sheik comes from, as her name suggests, the Sheikah tribe. She has a mysterious attitude and helps Link to vanquish Ganondorf after his rising. Although not revealing everything at first, Sheik has lots of useful facts to aid Link on his way. You'll find Sheik possessing a harp which can teach willing learners, like Link, the Hero of Time Melodies. Sheik's songs allow Link to warp to various areas within Hyrule and include the Minuet of Forest and the Nocturne of Shadow. Truely Zelda, Sheik covered her face and muffled her voice to prevent her identity being discovered, which Link finds out in the end. Although not selectable on the character select screen from Super Smash Bros. Melee, Sheik is a playable character when Zelda uses her transform ability. She has many suprises up her sleeves and stylishly fights her way through battles. With Sheik in Super Smash Bros. Melee along with Young Link, Ganondorf, Zelda and the one and only Link himself, Zelda fans are spoilt for choice.
