Clip Clop Horseshoes started after I had spent weeks looking for a horseshoe for my friends Highland Castle wedding.
After searching for something suitable I discovered horseshoes were all made of plastic and as the bride is a keen horse owner I thought these were unsuitable.
I decided to make her shoe myself. After asking the farrier for a Clydesdale shoe from one of the horses I look after the task started. Six weeks later my friend had her shoe for her wedding. Decorated in her clan tartan with the flowers she had on her bouqet it was very personel to her.
That night three of the guests asked me to make them shoes for their forthcoming weddings and after much persuasion I agreed. I love making the shoes because they can be made with very personal touches. When I am asked to add extra charms etc . I have added everything from tractors to dogs also the latest one I decorated had bicycles on it.
I have over 100 ribbons to chooses from and over 30 tartans.
