Brief Desciption
Hello and welcome to my modern image DCC OO gauge Layout. I spent hours pondering on a layout name and finally came up with 'Clifton Yard', i named my layout 'Clifton Yard' after the village i live in which is called Clifton.
My layout will be mainly based on freight stock because i have a strange obsession with freight and passanger trains dont have that certain kind of excitment. My layout will be dominated by Class 60's, 66's and a few others here and there, on the passenger side or my railway there will be mainly Class 158's and 142's with a Pendolino and Virgin HST (towed by a Heljan Virgin class 47)
I had spent 8 months thinking up what my layout should look like and got half way through bilding several layouts before changing my mind completely. I have finally come up with a layout that is fairly easy to make and i like....lots
After spending months thinking up my own ideas i eventually turned to other people's layouts for inspiration. I found a few i tryed to replicate but came across problems etc. I finally foun one which was easy to replicate and change slightly so i have done some work for it my self and not just lifted it. The layout i found is called 'Widnes Vine Yard' which is an exhibition layout and has videos on youtube.
Once Again the layout will change due to storage issues so it needs to be built higher and change all together ... (Damn Parents)
At the moment a select controller will controll my layout. i have a bachmann dynamis but this proved to much hassle so i am upgrading to the hornby elite. The Lenz Digital Plus system is my dream but i simply cannot afford.
I dont know a great deal on real trains so if it is modern no matter what livery it will be on my layout.
