These different charities offer you the possibility to sponsor/buy acres of Rainforests:
You can purchase an acre of rainforest to be dedicated as a personal conservation zone with the charity STARO. STARO is the first charity to implement the Inga Tree Alley cropping. This means that land is both protected and still usable for the native people. STARO also has the only GPS satellite imaging system for dedicating areas of rainforest. STARO is constantly searching for sustainable ways of income generation for the forest dwellers.
Rather than simply paying for conservation areas, the money raised from STARO’s Buy an Acre scheme is used to promote both the forest and the people living within it. STARO is seeking an end to deforestation through protecting areas of the Amazon rainforest and by introducing sustainable economic projects for the Amazon dwellers. The funds raised are also used to provide study grants for the land protected by STARO.

Cool Earth is a charity set up to protect the most endangered rainforest around the world. This combats global warming, protects ecosystems and provides sustainable jobs for local people.
Two of their launch projects are in Brazil and one in Ecuador. The reason they chosed these areas is threefold:
For as little as £70 you can protect a whole acre. This locks in 260 tonnes of global warming CO2 - that's the same as the annual carbon footprints of ten British families.
Of course, you can contribute more or protect half an acre for just £35 for half an acre.

From just £25 to sponsor half an acre, it is not only a wonderful and unusual gift for friends and loved ones, but your donation will be used to purchase and protect some of the most threatened and species rich rainforest in the world, in partnership with local communities.
Their current target is to purchase and safeguard 70,000 acres of highly threatened rainforest in North West Ecuador in South America, home to some of the planet's most endangered species. This area, known as the Choco-Andean Corridor, also links two reserves avoiding creating isolated islands of rainforest where animals and plants become trapped and unable to migrate.
Recipients of the gift will be sent a personalised certificate and will be kept up-to-date about Rainforest Concern projects. Those sponsorshing 2 acres or more will receive a Rainforest Concern T-shirt with their certificate and other gift items.
